I think the most disturbing part of the chapter was when Simon was talking to the Lord of the flies. But the lord of the flies happened to be a pigs decapitated head on a stick with flies eating its guts of the ground. He was in like in a drug like trance he was over heating and sweating while he was talking to the lord of the flies. mainly in this coversation the "pig head" he talk about how simon would die. Also how there was a dark future to come. One thing that was disturbing was how the pig acted as if he was superior and would call Simon a "silly little child", and would to tell him to go "play". I am mainly disturbed by how he had a long conversations with the pig head and that it could tell Simon was going to die. It was weird how he passed out at the end of the conversation.
I think that Jack is mainly responsible for the murder of Simon. He was the one who decided to attack the beastie "Simon". He also suggested to do their brutal chant which obviously brings out agression. I think he also should have waited to see if it was agressive or not. If it was the real beatie it may have been good. But all Jack cares about is killing. his cover up for killing simonn was it was the beastie in duisgise. He abveously knew that it was simon when he puased while telling his hunters.
I think Jacks group of savages killed Simon because when Jack was talking to his hunters he paused then told them it was the beastie in disguies. Also he was closs enough to Simon when he was stabbing him to see it must have been him. My claim is true beacuse if you jump on top of someone and are closs enought to stab them with a knife you should be able to tell who they are. A mental way to tell it was him was that when he was telling his hunters what the beastie was "Simon" he paused and told them it was the beastie in disguies. I think when Simon died it was a part of the book that showed things are getting bad now and there may be dark times ahead. This shows in human nature that we just cant always work togather that in the end there is always going to be a fight a war a "break up of clans".

Perspective: Simon

1. The sign is a beastie that is a dead body of an aviator. That tells them there is war happening.
2. The boys are not aware of it because they think it’s a beastie they have only seen it at night so they couldn’t tell what it was.
3. Sam and Eric where the first to encounter the body which they think is a beast because it was dark and hard to see. 4. Sam and Eric describe the beast has fangs talons and wing and its horrible and aggressive.
5. They have a hyped up not smart attitude and they just want to go primal and kill it.
6. There is really not a beast it’s a pilot I know because in the book it tells you that the “beastie” is a pilot.
7. I think the “beast” that every one is afraid is a ghost it may be effigy of us scared amplified from the dark. And that we don’t have to slay or kill anything like jack says we should with belligerence. He is overly aggressive and only cares about forts and killing malevolently.
Dear diary today we went on a hunt for the “beastie” so far we have not found any thing just a place where jack wants to make a fort no one listens to Ralph anymore. They are starting to like jack more I think it’s because he is errant and more fun. And loose we will see how things go. There may be a lot of martyred ahead.

1. The assembly was called because the order of priorities have been changing and straying of course of getting rescued.
2. The concerns that where brought up in the assembly where mostly about this beast like sea creature that the little ones have claimed to see come out of the ocean and also been seen in trees some think it’s a ghost.
3. I feel disturbed about these sightings I don’t believe there is a monster but I really don’t know if there is or not.
4. I feel that our government is really taking a beating and that we need to rebuild it some how I think the main contributor is jack. At the meeting he after a little bit of an argument said “who cares about the rules all you do is sit down and tell people what to do you cant hunt or anything”. So that brought me to think I half to do something about jack.
5. I think the little ones cry in their sleep because they have fear about the “beastie” and have night mares.
6. Percival is afraid of the beastie that comes out of the sea because none of us know for sure that there is not “beastie”.
7. I think the dirtiest thing about human nature is that we always have a craving for more and more power and items that we don’t need and that we move to one place and use all the recourses then move to the next place and do the same unlike all mammals who live in co harmony with their environment and help it live and grow there is one other organism that has the same course we do. Which is a virus so we may be viruses?
8. My attitude about being chief is to be fair to every one and get us of is the land.
9. I have not changed much from when we first got stranded besides the fact that I have become a stronger leader.
